Welcome! This blog is one project of a classroom grant from the United Federation of Teachers to provide and enrichment in digital media and literacy for my classroom. The students in my class are in the Academy of Visual Arts at the High School of Graphic Communication Arts on West 49th Street in New York City. They are learning digital media including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office software programs. Additionally, they are writing using the internet for collaborations across subject areas. Their classroom work is planned with project-based learning as the model, mirroring situations that they will encounter in the workplace or in graduate school settings.
Students and teachers from other schools are welcome to collaborate with us. The blog will be useful to classes in English, reading, literacy, journalism, newspapers and yearbooks, computer graphics, fine art, Spanish, and almost any class subject that is making use of digital technology.
